Birthday dad

Birthday boy was woken with happy birthday sung by his daughter and cards in bed – what better to wake on such a special day? Both kids at crèche today so we gave dad his presents (a microlite lesson, a rain measuring device and a thumb pick for his guitar)...

What a beautiful day

Although nearly at the end of October, the weather today has been like a late September day. The sunshine warm from when it rose this morning, no fog, mist or clouds in the sky and no need for coats when we ventured out into the veg garden this morning....

Chilly wind but sunny friends

Cold wind today, but the kids still enjoy their morning tasks and today Ruby cooked us all some « chicken paylay » in her caravan catering head quarters – whatever that is in her cookery head. It was nice to have her at home today and not to be running...

Household chores

Trying to get any housework done with two small kids is a virtual impossibility, they only want to help, how do they know that their « helping hand » is more of a hindrance than a help? The hoover often comes out after mealtimes while they are still strapped...
