Book library this afternoon, with the promise that if they are well behaved then they will be rewarded with a run around the playground which is nearby. Loaded up into the car, Ruby full of energy today and seems to have lots of cotton wool in her ears!...

Happy Valentines day

Day at home with mum

I foolishly called the crèche yesterday to see if they would administer Rivan's antibiotics and they flatly said no and that he should not be at crèche if he had a chest infection. So a day at home with me - it was actually really nice to spend the day...

Another early start for everyone today – Rivan started crying about 3.30am and continued on and off until I finally got him up at 6.30. Ruby woke at 6.50 so we all climbed back into bed and had some cuddles and stories before we decided it was time to...

Spring like afternoon - at last

The last two days have been hard work - I have been feeling like "death" - it could possibly be man flue but that is pretty serious. Rivan has had a rough couple of nights with sickness through coughing and lots of crying so I have not had much sleep...

Story telling with a bit of magic thrown in

Story telling to toddlers and young children is a special talent – I remember as a child loving Jackanory with the plethora of storytellers and fabulous books chosen by the presenters, I am glad that Jackanory junior is still available now on Cbeebies...

« One born every minute » on channel 4 for me is compelling watching – I stumbled across the series a couple of weeks ago and was in awe of some of the women giving birth (for those who have not seen it, they have put 40 camera’s into a maternity ward)....
