Splish, splash, splosh

Good morning tent we all said as we let the day into the house. Ruby wanted to check that it was still there and it had now blown away - Rivan just said 'tent' as we opened the shutters. Dad working today so the kids and I enjoyed pancakes for breakfast...

So here it is......

Time to transform the garden - I was out late last night cutting the grass and getting ready for the tent which is going up today. First job was to clean an old swimming pool bottom which Ben had cut to size - this would be going underneath the ground...

Chuff chuff chuff - its raining again

Still the rain comes down, I feel so sorry for anyone who is on holiday at the moment – spending all their time working hard, looking forward to those two weeks off with the family only to have the weather spoil their holiday. Both kids woke in foul moods...

Cows not like we know it

Different beds and surroundings gave for a somewhat disturbed night - so we all woke a little 'crispy' round the edges and tried to sneak downstairs so as not to wake the grandparents but this is easier said that done with two small kids! This afternoon...

My little miss blueberry

After almost a week of rain – the right type of rain too, the back garden is slowly changing back into a lawn and not a crispy brown carpet, the verges are brimming with life and the veg garden has gone a little mad – the purslane has taken over the garden...

Happy July 14th

How.....

So these acorns were harvested in September last year, stored in a big black dustbin with no light or water and yet when Ben went to check on them and ensure that they were enclosed in the bin – so that our family of visiting rats had nothing to eat other...
