Lazing on a Sunday afternoon

Take one potato

Take one potato, cut it in half, scratch it up a bit with a fork, rub all over the front of your car where there are a million dead flies (especially visible on a white car), then wash off with a sponge – easy peasy and not much elbow grease needed! Works...

Plant exchange

My little garden eco warriors

Last year in the garden I mulched quite a lot of the garden for two reasons; Firstly it preserves water so that the plants need watering less and that saves me time. Secondly it keeps down the weeds which is great because although I love, love, love gardening...

School medical

Not a normal Tuesday today - Ruby along with all her class mates have a school medical - unfortunately hers falls right in between her sleep time - 1.30. I arrived at the school a bit early as I did not know if they were running early - when I arrived...

Monday morning and the school trip into the woods. Dropped Ruby off at school and she took the bus with her friends and Rivan and I followed in the car. It is always interesting to find new places to explore and this was a great wood that we had not been...

The house project

Finally an entry on the house….. The other woman who occupies my husband day after day, week after week, month after month. When we bought the house in 2005 we were both so excited about leaving our old life behind and starting a new one in rural France....
